This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, handle, store, and safeguard your information when you access our website, use our in-browser 3D tools, or generate 3D STL models.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to deliver fast, reliable, and secure 3D conversion services:

  1. Account Credentials — When you sign up, we collect your email address, username, and password hash (managed via encrypted authentication).
  2. Uploaded Images & 3D Assets — Images you upload for AI 3D generation and the resulting STL, GLB, and OBJ mesh files. Client-side tools (such as the local 3D viewer and format converters) process files entirely within your web browser without transmitting mesh geometry to our servers.
  3. Usage & AI Task Telemetry — Diagnostic records of generation tasks (e.g. task ID, resolution setting, duration, credit consumption) to guarantee service delivery and prevent abuse.
  4. Billing & Payment Records — Payment records (e.g. Stripe checkout IDs, PayPal order tokens, subscription tier, credit balance). Full credit card numbers are processed directly by PCI-DSS compliant providers (Stripe and PayPal) and are never stored on our servers.
  5. Technical Data & Cookies — Anonymized browser version, device category, preferred language, and essential session cookies required for authentication and security.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information strictly to:

  • Operate, maintain, and enhance the EasyToSTL platform.
  • Process AI 3D image-to-mesh conversions and provide downloadable watertight STL files.
  • Manage credit balances, billing cycles, and deliver requested services.
  • Detect, prevent, and troubleshoot technical errors, malicious automated scraping, or platform abuse.
  • Deliver transactional notifications, password resets, and respond directly to support inquiries.

Design Assets & AI Model Training

We respect your intellectual property.

  • We do not sell your personal information or uploaded design artwork.
  • Your uploaded images and generated 3D meshes are your property. We do not use your private uploaded models to train public third-party AI foundation models without explicit consent.
  • Files stored in our encrypted object storage (Cloudflare R2) are accessible only via time-bounded signed URLs or your authenticated account session, and you may delete your saved assets at any time through your Asset Library.

Data Security & Storage

We implement defense-in-depth security standards:

  • Encryption: End-to-end HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest for all database and asset records.
  • Access Control: Strict role-based permissions ensuring only authenticated task handlers and storage workers interact with asset URLs.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you hold the right to:

  • Access and inspect the personal data we maintain about you.
  • Export or download your generated 3D models and transaction history.
  • Request the permanent erasure of your account, uploaded images, and generated models.
